IF only weatherman Paul Hudson could have changed the forecast for Skipton's fifth Sheep Day.
But despite almost continuous rain, the organising team from Skipton Town Council' said Sunday's event hadn't been a complete washout.
Although there were fewer visitors than previously, the Sheep Day committee was impressed with the number of people who donned their waterproofs to see Skipton High Street transformed into a countryside gathering.
Sheep Day was officially launched by the Look North personality.
The weather forced the cancellation of ferret racing and a couple of other attractions.
Despite this there were plenty of other things to do and see both on the High Street and in the town hall where there were craft stalls.
The Dales Challenge saw two teams from the Royal Shepherd pub in Skipton flexing their muscles with bales of hay and milk churns. There were also sheep and rat shows and music was supplied by Skipton Brass.
