Tonight's the night when there will be something for everyone in the great fund-raising auction for the Telegraph & Argus Save Our City Appeal.

There are more than 150 items for sale, with everything from top-notch designer clothing to a collection of TV star Richard Whiteley's ties!

They will all be going under the hammer at Valley Parade this evening to raise cash for the struggling Bantams.

TV presenters Richard Whiteley and Colin Wolfenden are the latest names to back the campaign by donating their own unique brand of clothing to be auctioned off.

Countdown star Richard has donated six of his most colourful ties from the Channel Four quiz show, with autographed tags. He said he was more than happy to support the appeal and wanted to see the Bantams remain at the forefront of Yorkshire sport.

However his outrageous ties are not the only clothing on offer.

Top class Bingley designer Colin Wolfenden, the star of Channel Four's Fairy Godfather, has donated four items of clothing from his latest collection, donating two pairs of designer jeans, a T-shirt and a vest as one lot.

If you want a complete makeover, you can bid for the chance to have a restyling session at Daniel Taylor hairdressing salon in Birstall, and you will be in safe hands as the 22-year-old is a former Bradford City goalkeeper.

He is now doing his bit to ensure his former club survives by offering a free cut and blow dry or restyling session.

City fans can relive the club's Premiership years with the chance to buy the programme to every home match during the 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 seasons.

The programmes have been put up by City fan Paul Docherty from Wibsey and include the famous 1-0 win over Liverpool which ensured the Bantams survival in the top flight and the abandoned match against the Reds from the following season.

Bradford City fan Tim Gilroy, of Oakworth, is donating a framed Bradford City shirt, signed by Gareth Whalley from the 2001-2002 season.

Mr Gilroy works for Howard Smith Paper in Morley which sponsored the midfielder's shirt during the season.

Other famous names to donate lots include Bradford pop stars Gareth Gates and Kimberley Walsh, movie star Matthew Lewis - who plays Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films -- and Jack Shepherd, who plays David Platt in ITV's Coronation Street.

The auction starts at 7.30pm in Valley Parade's Banqueting Suite and admission is a nominal charge of £3, which will be donated to the appeal.

It will be run by Steve Jordan, from auctioneers firm De Romes, with help from BBC weatherman and Bantams fanatic Paul Hudson, who is also donating a Benito Carbone shirt on the night.
