Cowling moved into fourth spot in the Craven League after a narrow eight-run victory at Bradley.

The visitors made 168-6 with Steve Mitchell scoring 55, Keith Woodhead 55 and S Hassan 37no as John Duffey finished with 6-67.

As long as Neil Robinson was at the crease the home side were in with a chance, however he was dismissed on 80 and the points went back to Keighley Road.

Cullingworth entertained Thornton who scraped home in a nail-biting finish. The Booth Bridge Lane lads had first knock and posted 162-6 with evergreen Kev Pollard making 76no and skipper Richard Craddock 68. The homesters fell agonisingly short on 160, with Andy Hodgson scoring a fine 73.

First division leaders Embsay were out of action so second placed Barrowford took the opportunity to close up to just two points behind them. They entertained Long Lee and after mopping up operations were completed they rolled them over for 95. Richard Wilkinson made 27 as John Hargreaves claimed a superb 7-19.

After early success Kevin McGahon 39 and Ajmal Choudry 43no took the Red Rose side to the points by six wickets.

There are new leaders at the top of Division Two with Bingley Congs opening up a two-point gap on Glusburn after travelling to Chatburn and winning while their rivals were inactive.

Chatburn posted a creditable 173 then saw the visitors gallop home by five wickets with Tim Burnley, 57, leading the way.

Denholme edge into third spot a point in front of Skipton CI. They made the short journey to Wilsden and dismissed the home side over for 133.

Wilsden suffered a dramatic collapse after reaching 124-5 with D Hewer and P Collins both scoring 37 as David Wear took 7-51. The latter followed this with 47 to guide his side to victory by two wickets.

Cononley drop into the relegation zone after a lacklustre performance against Airedale at the Colthurst ground. The Keighley rattled up 183-7 in 30 overs with I Zaman scoring 57no and Richard Bennett 46 as Steve Filkin took 4-67. The homesters were knocked over for a modest 53.

Bottom side Ingrow enjoyed only their second victory of the season, beating Pendle Forest by 20 runs in a 35-over per side game. The Keighley team made 123-8, led by Aide Stokes with 39no as Nick Daniels claimed 4-43. A fine spell of bowling by Aide Parker who finished with 6-16 assisted by Wayne Exley, 3-28, ensured the points didn't go over the border.

Haworth Road also enjoyed a welcome victory when they defeated Ingrow St John by 105 runs at Shipley. Will Burgess top scored with 67 as the homesters scored 186-8. The Saints fell well short and remain in the relegation battle.

The only game to take place in Division Three was at Riddlesden. Mick Bailey took 5-17 as visitors Barrowford were restricted to 90-9 in a 33-over game. Nasser Khamal 52no and David Henson 31no saw the homesters to a fine nine-wicket triumph. The winners move into third spot just two points off the top.

Haworth Road moved into top spot in Division Four without actually playing a game, following a defeat for fellow joint leaders Glusburn at Skipton CI. The Skipton side went first and in their 34 overs made 150-9. Steve Davidson top scored with 48 and there were useful contributions from John Stuttard with 25 and Nigel Carr, 23 as Brian Hollis claimed 7-56. The visitors never got to grips with the situation and fell 36 short of their target despite 40 from Alan Coney. Dave Gamble finished with 7-50, which included 26 in one over.

Bradley travelled to Bingley Congs and were dismissed for 102 with T Teal taking 5-20. The homesters sauntered to a fine eight-wicket triumph.

The top two in Division Five had excellent victories in the only two games played.

Keighley TC entertained Riddlesden and were restricted to 134. A Greenwood scored 37 as J Spencer took 4-42. The visitors were shot out for 64 in reply with Chris Brookes having the best figures, 4-29.

Cononley were bowled over for 79 at Crossflatts with Bob Scott taking 5-32. Des Tarrant scored 42no to see the homesters to the points by nine wickets.
