With Paul Johnson and Mick Withers likely to be declared fit for Friday night's crucial Odsal showdown with Wigan, Bulls boss Brian Noble looks set to be spoiled for choice - for once.

Skipper Robbie Paul was an early injury doubt after hobbling off in the second half against Warrington on Sunday, but his ankle injury is not serious and he trained fully yesterday.

The outstanding form of Stuart Reardon at full back and Leon Pryce's successful switch from stand-off to centre will ensure Noble endures some welcome selection headaches, should Withers and Johnson be passed fit. Withers would likely be restored to full back - Noble is on record as saying that, when fit, Withers is one of the first names on his team-sheet - but how Johnson will fit into a line-up that now contains Iestyn Harris is unclear.

Wigan will travel to Odsal having had two more days' rest than the Bulls, courtesy of playing against Hull on Friday night, but Noble doesn't believe his side's shorter turnaround will be a factor.

"We've done it before," said Noble.

"Sometimes it can be to your advantage. We are not going to dwell on it. I am pretty confident we will recover okay." Only three matches have passed since the Bulls' 32-16 defeat at the JJB and Noble is confident his side can overturn that result.

"We shouldn't need to change too much, except implementing what we should have done last time in the second half," he said.

l The Bulls have laughed off an attempt by Leeds to sign Man of Steel Jamie Peacock. "We never comment about our players' contracts in the media, but Jamie is contracted until the end of next season and is very happy at Bradford," said Bulls media manager Stuart Duffy.
