A 28-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A Drugs.

Police officers from Bradford District Drugs Team arrested the man after stopping a car at Ingrow and searching the passenger.

A quantity of what is believed to be crack cocaine and heroin was recovered. The arrested man has since been interviewed and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Mark Long, of Bradford District Drugs Team, said: "The drug team on average arrests at least one person suspected of drug dealing per day. Many of these arrests come from the help of the public. Over 2,500 people have called Crimestoppers through the Dob in a Dealer campaign to provide information about suspected drug dealers. I would like to thank these people.

"Many people see drugs as something that doesn't affect them as they live in an area where they believe drug dealing doesn't take place, but it is a problem that affects society as a whole. Through the number of arrests we have made we have become aware of every trick in the book when it comes to trying to evade arrest - we've seen it all, so now we manage to stay one step ahead.

"We're waiting to arrest the drug dealer down your street, but we need you to fill in the gaps in our information. Please call Crimestoppers and help us to take drugs of the streets of Bradford and Keighley." Anyone with information about suspected drug dealing activity is urged to Dob in a Dealer by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, anonymously.
