A football-mad bridegroom adopted the colours of his favourite football team, Leeds United, to adorn his wedding and reception.

Anthony James Harrison and Wendy Bishop were married at St Anne's RC Church, Keighley, surrounded by white, yellow and blue colours.

Anthony's clothes matched them, including a striking blue suede jacket, and his bride carried a bouquet of blue feathers, yellow roses and white lillies. And all the bridesmaids wore cream dresses with blue, yellow and white flower wands and flowers in their hair. Other similarly coloured decorations included flowers, balloons, the cake and the reception at the Hanover International.

Father Sean Gilligan said: "The theme normally is white or cream, but on one occasion I also had one girl in black. And people do often try and match the flowers."

A spokesman for the club was not aware of many weddings adopting the colours. But he added: "It is nice to hear of things like this."

Anthony is the elder son of Anthony and Janet Harrison, of Harewood Road, Keighley. Wendy -- a secretary -- is the only daughter of Fredrick and Jennifer Bishop, of McMillan Gardens, Cleckheaton.

The bride wore a cream silk dress, with pearl and diamond detail to the front and tail.

Chief bridesmaids were Zoe Currie and Zoe Adamson, and other bridesmaids were Georgie Bailey (bride's daughter), Leah and Lucy Butler and Tonie Smith. Best man was Michael Dunwell and groomsmen were Shane Dunwell and Matthew Donohoe.

The couple went on honeymoon to Italy.
