There was a full weekend of racing for Ilkley Harriers. On Saturday, Sue Bickerdike travelled to Nottingham for the Robin Hood Half Marathon: her 1h41:42 was a PB by over 10 minutes, and good enough for 1087th place and 20th LV35 - a good days work.

Closer to home, the Briscoes Brewery Festival fell race is just 3.4 miles around Danefield, but most of its /900' are towards the end, and then you have to drink a pint of real ale before finishing.

Jason Hemlsey won in 20.42 + 23s for the pint to give 21:05; Mike Baldwin made up 3 places on the drink to 5th overall 23.54 + 28 = 24:22; and Iain Gibbons was 7th 23.34 + 55 = 24:29 The pint didn't do Jason any harm, as the next day he won the Yorkshire Off-Road Half Marathon in 1h34:07; and Dennis Ackroyd was 28th in 1h55:02. In the full Marathon Ilkley had 26 ,Dominic O'Hooley 4h15:30; 39, Bob Wightman 4h37:19 (30mins quicker than last year); 67, Keith Wood 5h39:27; 68, Barbara Bullock ran 5h39:30; 81, Amanda Parnaby and 82, Bernie Gibbons both 6h10:40; with 1h21:22 (13:17/43:50/24:15).
