Spider-Man 2

It's not often I jump while watching an action movie -- and less often that I shed a tear.

But this terrific sequel had me leaping about and sniffing half a dozen times.

Partly this was due to the film -- probably the most thrilling and the most romantic you'll see this year -- but also the screen.

For Spider-Man 2, easily the best blockbuster of the summer, is overpowering on Bradford's five-storey-high surround-sounding IMAX screen.

We see with razor-sharp clarity the anguish on Peter Parker's face as he is forced to choose between crime-fighting and a normal life.

We view in frightening detail the evil-minded pincers on the robot arms that take over scientist Dr Octavius and send him on a killing spree.

And we witness the eye-popping, jaw-dropping, heart-pounding spectacle of Spider-Man repeatedly saving the city, its inhabitants and the girl of his dreams.

Oh, let's not forget seeing Kirsten Dunst at about the size of a doubledecker bus!
