Silsden'S 'Red Army' will be on the move to Barrow-in-Furness tomorrow as their team moves into the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.

The Cobbydale side has already clocked up victories over Hebburn Town and Hallam in the first two rounds.

Tomorrow they take on Holker Old Boys, a team which is just one point ahead of them in the North West Counties League.

They warmed up for the cup clash with league victories over Ashton Town on Saturday and Chadderton on Tuesday evening.

They were indebted to goalkeeper Martin Foulger for the 3-2 victory over Ashton. Martin Bland headed home Jimmy Holden's corner in the 11th minute.

James Gill and two Ashton players, including their keeper, were sent off after a melee in midfield. the nine man Ashton side kept Silsden under pressure.

The home side drew level before Jimmy Spencer volleyed over the stranded keeper. Ashton again hit back to level the scores, but Michael Rosser drove home a late goal to make certain of the points from a game when they weren't on top form.

Dale Hoyle (right) opened the scoring in Silsden's 4-1 victory over Chadderton on Tuesday and although the home side were level 1-1 at the break, the Cobbydale side took command in the second half. Goals from James Gill, a second for Hoyle and Andy Holden made certain of victory to set the team up for their FA Cup clash.
