Bulls juggernaut Joe Vagana is set to continue terrorising Super League defences for another two years after agreeing a contract extension at Odsal.

"It's awesome to be staying," said Vagana. "The bunch of guys we have here are great and the coaching staff are first-class. It's a winning team - we know how to win and we win trophies, so I'm delighted to be staying."

Leaving Bradford was never an option for the 20-stone giant.

"I always knew I wanted to stay here. I didn't want to go anywhere else. I didn't want to go back to the NRL. I want to finish my career at Bradford so I'm pretty rapt to be part of the club for another two years."

Vagana, who optimistically lists his age in the official Super League guide as 25, in fact turns 30 in January. But he hasn't ruled out continuing at the club beyond his current deal.

"In two years' time I'll take Nobby coach Brian Noble and Chris Caisley out for dinner again and see if I can get another couple of years," he said.

Since joining the Bulls in 2001 the durable prop has missed just seven games, playing in 125 of the club's 132 fixtures and scoring nine tries.

"We've certainly had value for money out of him," said chairman Chris Caisley.

"He came over with a big name and, while he would admit he has not always played to his potential, the one thing he has always done is make a massive contribution towards getting us to Grand Finals and winning them.

"In the last Grand Final he was tremendous. He usually comes very strong towards the end of the season and that has been a great bonus for us over the last couple of years. Hopefully he can do it again this year."

A jolly giant, Vagana is a key contributor to the Bulls' team spirit.

"He is one of the most liked people in the club," said Caisley.

"Nobody ever has a bad word to say about him.

"He has been terrific for us both on and off the field and I am glad that we have got him for another couple of years."
