BROWNIE guides across Britain are celebrating their 90th Birthday this year and to mark the occasion organisers in Rombald's
District are holding a party for girls across the region.
An open invitation is also extended to ladies in the area who have been Brownie Leaders or Unit Helpers who would like to join in the
fun.
Numbers for the party at an undisclosed venue in Ilkley are limited, so anyone wanting to attend should make contact as soon as
possible.
The party is to be held on the evening of Thursday, October 21, 2004. The person to contact is: Mrs Karen Hill, District Commissioner, Tel (01943) 602640.
Brownie spokesman Ann Peacock said: "If you were a leader, or know a leader take action now. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we found someone who was actually a Rosebud - that is the original name for a Brownie."
l Burley-in-Wharfedale Brownies have organised a party on October 16, at the scout and guide hut on Peel Place.
Former Burley Brownies are invited to attend the party. Anyone able to join in the fun should telephone Annette Hattersley on (01943) 862090, as soon as possible.
