After a passionless afternoon at Plumpton Park which brought Eccleshill a single point, the Northern Counties East Premier Division club are looking towards tomorrow's home derby. Liversedge are the visitors and they will provide more spirited opposition than Mickleover Sports. "It was a bore draw, spoiled as a spectacle by the high wind, though both teams tried," said United manager Ray Price. "One goal would have won it for either side it was so low key. But the truth is that nobody got to grips with the conditions. It was a long frustrating afternoon and the final whistle couldn't come quickly enough." The home side had the greater ambition and Mickleover's keeper was the busier of the two but there were half-chances. The best opening of the first half fell to James Couborough but as he tried to stroke the ball in with only the keeper to beat, he was denied by a good save. Any threat from United after the break also came via Couborough as he continued to get into good positions. However, a point apiece was fair.
