City will not gamble on Dele Adebola's fitness.

The big striker has not been completely ruled out of Saturday's collision between the top two at Luton.

But Colin Todd will not take a risk with Adebola if he is less than 100 per cent.

Adebola was back at Valley Parade today to undergo a check-up from physio Steve Redmond on his hamstring injury.

Todd said: "There is a glimmer of hope and Dele did a little bit of training yesterday.

"But we won't be taking any risks with him. At the moment it is only a slight strain. But if he was to play and it wasn't right, then you could end up with a tear in the hamstring.

"We're not ruling him out but we'll let Steve have a look at him first and then take it from there."

Demand for away tickets is high for the Kenilworth Road clash with in-form City looking to make it six wins on the trot.

But the team are not preparing any differently for their date with the leaders.

Todd added: "We're treating it like any other game. We are just going about our jobs in the right way and getting ready for another challenge.

"We keep getting different challenges every week and prepare accordingly."

Meanwhile, a very young City reserve side drew 0-0 with Hartlepool at Billingham yesterday afternoon.

l City fans are reminded that the Luton game is all-ticket. They must be purchased from the box office at Valley Parade by 5pm on Friday evening.
