After heavy rain in the days leading up to the game the pitch was heavy but despite that Crossflatts played their best first half of the season - and completed a 7-3 victory over Crown Celtic.

After dominated the opening 15 minutes Flatts took the lead when Alex Love was put through on goal and rifled a shot into the bottom corner. It was soon 2-0 when top scorer Damien Lee raced through a static defence and rounded the keeper beautifully before clotting into the open goal.

Crossflatts really took control of the game and Chris Price should have made it 3-0, but managed to head over the bar from close range. The third goal wasn't long coming after pressure from Price led to him robbing the defender and sliding Alex Love through and he again slid the ball into the corner.

A momentary lapse from the Crossflatts right back let Crown pull one back but the visitors were straight back on the goal trail. Man of the match Love completed a fine hat-trick and Chris Price made it 5-1 with a bullet header at the near post.

In the second half Flatts struggled to emulate their first half performance, but good work from Chris Price led to the sixth goal. He pulled the ball back to give Lee Bailey a simple tap in.

Crown put up a good fight and pulled two goals back, one a dubious penalty, but Damien Lee completed the scoring with his eighth goal in six games, slotting home a penalty after he had been brought down by the keeper.
