Silsden face a tough trip to Northumberland in the second round of the FA Vase.

They booked their place with a 2-1 victory over Tadcaster Albion in front of the biggest crowd of the round at Cougar Park.

A total of 311 fans saw them book their place in Monday's draw at FA headquarters, and the club was hoping for another home tie.

But they now face a draw against Northern League side Bedlington Terriers, a club which is rated one of the toughest non-league sides in the North East.

They have tasted plenty of success in recent years and reached the final of the FA Vase at Wembley in 1998-99, also the year in which they won the first of five consecutive Northern League titles.

But Silsden coach Andy Geary told KN Sport that the Terriers held no fears for his side.

"They have had some good performances, particularly in the Vase, but they are the same standard as North East Counties teams we have played an beaten this season.

"We know a few people up in the North East and they will be keeping an eye on them for us in the coming weeks, but we know that if we play the kind of football we have been playing we stand a very good chance," he said.
