Ilkley'S young sports star Jack Marchant is an all round sporting hero.
Jack has been crowned Player-of-the-Year at both cricket and soccer with Ilkley junior teams.
At the end of the last football season Jack was awarded the Player-of-the-Year trophy for Ilkley Juniors AFC Under- 13s squad.
He then took up cricket in the spring for the very first time and as well as getting in the school team at Ilkley Grammar School he also joined Ilkley Cricket Club.
Whilst playing for the school team Jack equalled the school record in scoring 62 to help Ilkley Grammar School win the Bradford Schools' Cup.
In September, he was awarded the Player-of-the- Season trophy for Ilkley Cricket Club's Under-14 team - completing a unique double in Ilkley sporting history.
In awarding him the football trophy in May his coach Simon Mitchell said: "If he continues to progress as he has this season Jack could go far."
His words have proved prophetic as Jack has just been signed up by the Hull City Football Centre of Excellence.
