Steeton were left to face the agony of a cup exit on penalties after dominating their match with Otley Town.

After last week's poor show in the Keighley Cup the Summerhill Lane side produced the kind of gutsy performance that manager Paul Ettenfield had demanded. With new boy Martin Crangle and Mostyn Hockey having fine games at the back Otley never really looked like scoring.

Lee Barker wason form in midfield as Steeton who looked the likelier to score. They were denied a winner when Aaron Hollingdrake's header was cleared off the line and Steeton felt they should have had a penalty when Adam Smith was felled in the box. But it was all to no avail as extra time couldn't separate the sides and it was left to the lottery of a shoot out to decide the match. Otley booked their place in the next round with a 6-5 penalties victory.

Keighley Shamrocks went out of the Division One Cup after going behind to three first half goals from Marsden.

James Christian pulled a goal back in the second half, but Marsden held out to secure a 3-1 victory.

Keighley Lifts played out a 4-4 draw with Dynamoes in the league. The Keighley side were 3-0 down at the break, but hit back with goals from Munzia Navies, Curtis Hall, Stuart Ternan and Curtis Cater.

Keighley Lifts Reserves slipped a 4-1 defeat in the league. Farnley had taken a 3-0 lead by half time and Joe Ellison scored a second half consolation goal for Lifts.

Steeton Reserves progressed in the League Cup thanks to a convincing 5-2 victory at Dudley Hill where Roy Mason grabbed the first.

He headed home Stewart Airdrie's deep cross in the first 10 minutes but a defensive lapse handed Hill an equaliser against the run of play. Airdrie restored the lead as he floated home a long-range free kick on the stroke of half time.

Airdrie grabbed his second early in the second half after good work from Chris Fothergill. Dave Collier struck the fourth from the penalty spot before Mason headed home his second after more good work from Airdrie. Dudley Hill forced a second late in the game but Steeton ran out comfortable winners and left the management team of Steve Narey and Roy Mason wondering why they can't produce this type of performance consistenly.
