Oxenhope 3, Bronte 4 - Playing uphill in the first half Bronte got the perfect start with an excellent turn and strike from Joe Blacka to give them the lead.
Oxenhope soon hit back through Joel Gallagher and followed up with a second to put them 2-1 up. Crucially Bronte pulled back the equaliser just before half time, again through Joe Blacka and were confident going into half time on level terms.
A few weeks ago playing down hill Bronte totally dominated the second half and could easily have put six or seven goals past the home side. This time it was Oxenhope who took control playing up hill and were rewarded with a 3-2 lead 25 minutes into the half. They could have gone further ahead had it not been for a fine save from Lee Nelson in the Bronte goal.
The visitors gradually began to get on top and Dave Armstrong levelled the scores before Joe Blacka sealed a fine afternoon by completing his hat-trick to send Bronte into the next round.
