Furious Colin Todd accused one or two of his players of getting too big for their boots after City tossed away victory against Torquay.

The Bantams saw their hopes of a first home win for three months disappear as they blew a two-goal lead.

Eight of the bottom ten have now visited Valley Parade and Torquay's draw means that City have managed to beat only one of them.

Todd accused his side of "bottling" it and pointed the finger at the under-performers.

Darren Holloway was subbed just before half-time and Owen Morrison was taken off at the break as City's advantage disappeared in the space of a couple of minutes. "When you're 2-0 up, you should capitalise on that and go for a third," said Todd. "But certain ones tried to get clever and get too big for their boots.

"I've told the players that if my demands are too great then they should let me know. Because if I see any more performances like that from certain individuals as I did at half-time then I'll take them off.

"We've got experience in Darren Holloway who didn't perform as he should have done. Owen Morrison has had opportunities and once again let the game bypass him.

"It's not the opposition hurting us but ourselves. And we have to learn quickly otherwise we will find ourselves not getting in a play-off position."

City stay in ninth spot but the gap to the top six has increased to three points ahead of next Monday's Yorkshire derby at Barnsley.

Todd added: "We'd be in the top four if our home form had been anything like it has away.

"But we've proved we can win at home against the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City. There's no magic formula, we've got experience in the side and I don't want anybody bottling the situation.

"We are capable of doing it but we keep shooting ourselves in the foot."
