Eccleshill United will be aiming to register a quick-fire double in the Northern Counties East Premier Division tonight and reclaim a few local bragging rights in the process.

Saturday's 2-1 win at Maltby Main gave United a psychological edge over the Rotherham outfit ahead of tonight's reverse fixture. It also put them just one point behind near-neighbours Liversedge.

Another victory over Maltby, the likelihood of which has increased with leading scorer Ian Twitchen returning from suspension, would see them go above Sedge for 24 hours at least - Sedge take on Nicky Law's Buxton tomorrow night.

"This is the big one," said United boss Ray Price. "But back-to-back games are never easy despite the result in the first game going our way away from home.

"That could count for nothing if we go into this one over confident. They have to make the journey to us but there are teams who like to play under the lights and get a lot of points from midweek games.

"We are looking forward to it, if the pitch is playable. The forecast for freezing temperatures and snow is bad enough but there was a charity game on the pitch last Thursday and another on Sunday.

"It has taken it out of the surface and it needs a lot of work on it to get it decent. Ian Twitchen will come straight back in because Chris Wood played up front on Saturday but is missing because of college tonight."
