Albion Sports cashed in on three second-half defensive errors to overcome local rivals Fairweather Green 4-2 in the quarter-final of the Bradford & District Sunday Senior Cup.

Fairweather opened the scoring in the first half when Albion lost possession on the halfway line and Lee Summerscales' ball over the top sent John Penn away to round the keeper.

Six minutes after the interval Albion were in front. Mick Burke gave away a needless free-kick and Jason Ryan sneaked in at the far post for the equaliser and Gareth Carney produced a cool finish to make it 2-1.

Carney extended Albion's lead when he lobbed the keeper, before Penn brought his side back into the game with his second.

Ryan was dismissed for a second bookable offence but Albion's ten men defended strongly and Taj Singh made the game safe when he robbed centre half Peter Pilgrim and converted Albion's fourth.

First Division side West Bowling led until the 73rd minute against Bolton Woods in their outstanding third-round game.

Chris Wood beat the offside trap to set up the chance of an upset until Andy Howden's equaliser.

With Bowling down to ten men, Dominic Quinn put Woods in front in the 79th minute before having a hand

in the third goal scored by Paul Sharpe a minute from time.

Woods now meet Wibsey WMC in the quarter-finals.

Victoria Rangers will meet Queens-bridge for a place in the last four after Vics won the other outstanding third-round match against Ring O' Bells.

In a tight game with few chances, Rangers' Sean Firth produced the game's only goal.

In the quarter-finals of the Sunday Cup, Chellow Reserves produced the comeback of the day against Oddfellows. Three-nil down with the game entering the last quarter, Chellow forced extra-time before going on to win 5-3.

In the only game in the Bradford Sunday Alli-ance Premier Division, Wyke Wanderers produced their best result of the season with a 4-0 win over Oakenshaw.

Goals came from Andy Beckwith (2), Mark Smith and James Williams, who was switched from his usual centre-half role to centre forward.

Barry Passmore's goal a minute before half-time saw Idle move out of the First Division relegation places with a win over Clayton Orient.

QC's enjoyed a 2-0 win over Quarry in Division 1A thanks to goals from Chris Hanney and Chris Warren.

Ventus Sports came back from a goal down to beat Hudson's 7-1 in Division 1A's Supplementary Cup, the fifth meeting between the two sides this season. Wayne Campbell, John France and Saul Peltier all scored braces for Ventus.

While second and third-placed sides White Eagles and Bradford Park Avenue Rangers fell victim to the overnight frost, Eccleshill extended their lead at the top of the Division 1B to 18 with a 4-0 win over Albion Sports.

Bradford Moor's problems continue. The club led Royal Clayton thanks to a Fidel Robinson strike but conceded four second-half goals to go down 6-1. Gavin Strachan scored twice for Clayton.

Bottom-club Dudley Hill Rangers had their third win from 15 with a 1-0 success at Wibsey WMC Reserves.

The lower divisions were also decimated by the weather but Druids' clash with Crown (Wyke) beat the freeze and Crown took full advantage of their rivals' inactivity with a 3-1 win.

Jordan Nissin put the Wyke team in front and Anthony Bannon doubled their lead before Druids pulled a goal back to give themselves hope.

However, Crown sealed it in the second period with Bannon's second of the game to pile the pressure on Bishop Rovers at the top of the table.

Crown's neighbours Wyke Wanderers Reserves also beat the frost and they played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with White Swan.

Mick Boldy put Swan in front early in the match only for Thomas King to equalise for Wanderers before half- time.

Paul Brown restored Swan's advantage just after the restart and sustained pressure from Wanderers saw them deservedly level two minutes from time through Gary Wainwright.
