There will be no third chance to put things right for some of the Bulls who under-performed in the season-opening losses to Wakefield and Widnes.

Coach Brian Noble has named full back Mick Withers and wing Lesley Vainikolo in his 20-man squad for the trip to Wigan on Friday night, with both likely to start if they pass late fitness tests.

"I am not one for discussing who is coming in and who is going out but it is fair to say there are a lot of people under pressure," said Noble.

"But they should take that in a positive way. They need to respond to that pressure with a performance."

As well as bringing back the strike power of Withers and Vainikolo, Noble will be hoping for vastly improved efforts from misfiring pack stars Stuart Fielden and Jamie Peacock.

The Great Britain duo have been strangely out of sorts so far this season, with Joe Vagana the only forward at the club to emerge from the debacles against the Wildcats and Vikings with any credit.

Noble is prepared to cop much of the criticism aimed at his side but he expects his players to accept their share of the blame and react with a positive performance at the JJB.

"Accountability stops with me but some of the responsibility is the players'," said Noble.

"I will protect whoever I can and help to pick them up and put things right, but we need a win pretty badly now. It is all about confidence."
