Oakworth Juniors 3 Silsden 3 - Oakworth Juniors ran out winners after fighting their way back from 2-0 down against Silsden who seemed to be cruising into the final of the Keighley FA Sunday Cup.

Mark Price scored after 60 minutes to make it 3-0 and his header looked like it had made certain of Silsden's place in the final, but the Oakworth side had other ideas.

With just 18 minutes to go Michael Whitney cut across the keeper from six yards out to put the Juniors on the score sheet.

Adam Fradley made it 2-0 with nine minutes to go and set up a hectic final period.

With four minutes to go Aaron Hollindrake blasted home a shot from 18 yards to level the scores and take the game into extra time.

Both teams had chances in the extra period with the Silsden keeper flipping Martin Packer's shot onto the bar in the last minute to take the game into a penalty shoot-out.

Silsden went first and Martin Packer missed his mark, Scott Nelson missed for Oakworth and nerves also got to Pete Hanson who missed for Silsden before Matt Everard scored Oakworth's second attempt.

Although Silsden scored their next three Aaron Hollindrake and Andrew Barnes made certain for Oaks to give them a 5-4 victory on penalties.

They now meet AC Victoria in the final on April 17 at Cougar Park.

Oakworth's managers Jason Higgins and Gary Millward were delighted with their team's performance.

"We were very proud with the way they came back from 3-0 down against such a great team.
