REVIEW Hi5 St George's Hall Channel Five's favourite children's entertainers Hi5 brought a ray of sunshine to a rain-drenched Bradford with their new show Live Action Heroes.
The Australian quintet - Nathan Foley, Tim Harding, Kathleen de Leon Jones, Kellie Hoggart and Charli Delaney - have become something of a phenomenon on early morning television with their mix of songs, dances, sketches and storytelling and in the flesh they proved a big hit with a three-quarters full house of under-sevens.
Nathan, in particular, proved a big hit with our four-year-old son, clowning around in a bright red 'Hyper Guy' wig and later an Egyptian warrior's costume, while Tim scored with his racing driver skit and Kellie raised a smile practising karate. Charli was an exuberant presence with her warm-up, cheerleading and cartwheels while a pregnant Kathleen gamely tried out her hip-hop dancing.
Their departure at the end of an 80-minute show even brought out a few tears. Hi5 were also performing today at 1.30pm and 4pm.
