Bradford MP and Employment Relations Minister Gerry Sutcliffe will be in West Yorkshire on Monday to tell key players in the region how employment relations can help the region's economy.
Mr Sutcliffe will be giving the opening address at an event in Wakefield staged by Yorkshire and Humber's Employee Relations Forum, a high profile region-wide network of HR professionals, trades union representatives, employment lawyers and academics.
Delegates will hear the Minister give a lead on the contribution good employment relations can make, and also find out at first hand how other organisations already achieve success by establishing maximum employee participation in their own workplaces.
They will also hear Simon Foy, Yorkshire Forward's Chief Economist, give an overview of the challenges for the region's economy and Neil Goodrum of McCormicks Solicitors provide an all-important employment law update.
