Ten unemployed graduates have held an exhibition to showcase their talents after completing a housing-based employment programme.

The group are the first to go through the 14-week long Graduate Employment Mentoring Scheme (Gems) run by the Centre for Partnership – a link-up between Incommunities and consultants Sutton Smith.

Gems graduate Saddaf Ejaz said: “Gems has provided me with a terrific opportunity to develop new skills and learn more about working in the housing sector. I’m sure it will help me to better focus on what I want to achieve in my career.”

Trevor Smith, director of the Partnership, said: “The students have excelled on the programme which has been designed to offer challenging work experiences and accredited leadership and management training.”
