Fundraisers have enlisted the support of local businesses to raise cash for the Haiti relief appeal.
Businesses in Baildon have been giving items for an auction aimed at raising funds to help victims of the earthquake.
“Everyone has been affected by the devastating news reports of the aftermath of the earthquake,” said organiser Robert Wight.
“There are children left without parents and people left without the basics to survive.
“We just wanted to do something to help. People have been very generous donating items for the auction and customers at Baildon Co-op, where I work, have been dropping money in fundraising buckets. People can bring items for the auction along on the night.”
The fundraising auction, with auctioneer Andrew McLauchlan, will be held at Baildon Club on Friday, March 19.
