This year’s Armed Forces Day will be held on Sunday, June 27.
This is because of the on-going work in and around Centenary Square. The marquee and veterans’ village will be set up as usual and organisations will be able to set up stalls on the tables provided. The veterans’ lunch is on Thursday, June 24.
DIARY DATES: Today: Royal Marines Association meets in the Dovesdale Club at 19.30 hours. Parachute Regiment meets in Thornbury Barracks at 20.00 hours. West Yorkshire branch of the British Korean Veterans meets in the North Bridge leisure centre, Halifax, at 19.30 hours.
Wednesday: Royal Air Force Association meets in unit 16, Listerhills Science Park, at 13.00 hours. Keighley branch of the Royal British Legion meets at 20 Heath Street, Bingley, at 19.00 hours.
Thursday: Royal Military Police meet in the Royal British Legion club, Pudsey, at 20.00 hours.
Friday: RAF Regiment meets in Thornbury Barracks at 19.30 hours.
Sunday: Merchant Navy Association meets in the Ex-Servicemens Club, Harrogate, at 14.00 hours.
Monday: REME Association meets in Slackside WMC, Wibsey, at 19.30 hours.
