Eighty-year-old fitness fan Margaret Renwick celebrated her latest birthday by scooping a Bradford Council B-active award.
Margaret, of Sandbeds, Keighley, was recognised for her determination to keep fit.
She plays badminton twice a week, enjoys a weekly swim, attends aerobic sessions twice weekly and also plays indoor and outdoor bowls.
Her exercise routine started when she attended over-50s classes at the Leisure Centre, Keighley, 15 years ago. She said: “Regular exercise has played a big part in helping me stay active and I’m still enjoying keeping fit and socialising with other people who attend the classes at The Leisure Centre, Keighley.
“I don’t think age is a barrier and if people want to try sports a give them a go they should just go for it – I started playing golf when I was 65 and have no intention of slowing down just because I’ve now turned 80.”
