It was no longer all Greek to them after children at a Bradford school were given a lesson on Ancient Greece by a restaurant owner.
George Psarias, co-owner of The Olive Tree, Rodley, welcomed the pupils of Crossley Hall Primary School yesterday, who are learning about Greece as part of a school project.
He said: “The children were bright and intelligent. I explained about what type of food they used to eat in Ancient Greece.”
The children enjoyed traditional Greek food like tzatziki, humous and meatballs during their day at the restaurant.
“They all seemed very interested and were listening well,” said Mr Psarias.
“We talked about culture and religion. They were all well fed and we had a good time.”
