An Ilkley chef was hoping to impress industry experts at The Great British Pub Food Awards this week.
Sabi Janak, of the Ilkley Moor Vaults pub, was one of three finalists who travelled to London to take part in the national cook-offs for the Sunday roast category.
The panel of judges were tasting his starter of smoked and cured fish, followed by roast Lishman’s beef and Yorkshire favourite rhubarb crumble.
The competition is run by trade magazine Morning Advertiser which organises mystery diner visits to venues.
