The Brighouse and Rastrick Band is to perform an American-themed programme next month.

The concert, called An American Tale, is at Morley Town Hall on Saturday, February 13, and features Washington Grays, Chicago, An American Tale and It Had Better Be Tonight.

The world-famous brass band (pictured in action at Preston Guild Hall) has won countless awards over its 125-year history and the 1977 recording of the Floral Dance with broadcaster Terry Wogan took the band to No. 2 in the charts.

Next month’s concert is led by Alan Morrison who, having served several top-class brass bands as principal cornet in a playing career spanning more than 40 years, is now musical director of the Brighouse and Rastrick Band.

He’s also in demand as an adjudicator, soloist and conductor and has performed around the world.
