Harewood Hillclimb will be the scene of red hot motorsport action on Sunday with a string of Keighley-based drivers leading the way.

A total of 150 competitors will be racing at the venue's fourth event of the year, a round of the OMS Racing Hillclimb Championship.

The competition is currently lead by Jonathan Mounsey in a Mitsubishi EVO, with David Sykes four points behind in a Peugeot 205 GTI.

Martin Rowe in a Citoen AX GT is less than a point behind Sykes.

In the Ladies Championship four times winner Clare Sullivan in a Mini leads from Sarah Cordingley's OMS.

The Fastest Time of the Day Championship is headed by 2004 winner Andrew Henson in a Pilbeam MP62 race car, Henson is being chased by Tim Wilson, Steve Owen and Dale Cordingley, all in OMS race cars.

There will also be a group of the Caterham Academy cars in action The Academy series allows drivers to experience a number of Motorsport disciplines including races, sprints and hillclimbs and can always be relied on for plenty of action.

Thre will also be a small group of Morgan Cars in their visiting championship. Our usual Harewood classes are well represented from a 1275 cc Mini up to a 5.7 litre JPR race car, with many other marques represented including Ford, VW, MG, Subaru, Porsche, BMW and Lotus

The competitive action starts at around 12.30 on Sunday, June 5.

The track can be found on the A659 between Harewood Village and Collingham, north of Leeds. Admission is £8, with children under 14 free.

Access to the paddock is available for close inspection of the cars.
