The rearranged Under-17s Cup and League match between Cup Holders Haworth and Airedale finally went ahead.

A knock of 45 from Josh Lewis and a solid 30no from Joe Milner set up a testing 121-4 for the Airedale club. As ever Peter Gower toiled hard for 2-8 from five overs. He then went on to make 22 as his side's top scorer in a 71-8 score to see his team go out of the Cup at theirfirst defence attempt.

Habib Aslam was the bowling hero with 3-18 but former Bronte player Sean Knapper took the last two wickets to seal the victory for the Keighley side. Airedale will travel to Wharfedale for a place in the smi-finals.

The League is currently jointly led by Oxenhope and Oakworth with the former slightly ahead on run-rate.

Oxenhope had a severe shock to test their Championship credentials, winning by the narrow margin of two wickets at Cowling. The bowling of Phil Rishton 3-10 and Matthew Wiggan 2-19 had matched the leaders Scott Mallinson 3-12 and Liam Dyson 3-15 amost blow for blow. Tom 'Teabag' Tetley secured the win with five not out after Max Davidson had made 16 to give his side a chance.

Third placed Airedale took out Skipton for just 47 but lost five wickets in reaching victory. Man-of-the-match was Nadeem Zaman who grabbed 5-15 along with Joe Milner's 3-24 to rip the heart out of the Skipton innings. Sean Knapper's 20 anchored the victory.

The Under-17 league showdown appears to be scheduled for June 13th when Oakworth host rivals Oxenhope. Miss it if you dare!
