Performing tonight in Keighley with her musical partner Steve Jones is rising acoustic blues talent Emily Druce.

n Bingley band Rider will launch their new five-track CD Stepping Stone when they support blues star Sean Webster in Keighley.

The young band, who play both covers and originals, will be joined by Keighley band Blues Breakdown at Victoria Hall.

The Sean Webster Band headlines on July 22 after recently selling out and out Keighley's Spectrum Blues Club.

Rider are influenced by bands ranging from Incubus and Muse to The Capital, Van Halen and Led Zeppelin.

They play Eldwick Gala on June 25, the Snooty Fox, Oakworth, on July 16, and the Queens, Bingley, on September 3.

n Keighley band Operatorsix has been lined up to support Paul Weller when he plays St George's Hall, Bradford, on July 14.

The band is also planning several Scots gigs with Glasgow band Shrinking Violet for late this summer.

Shrinking Violet appears at Keighley's New Variety Club on August 11, bringing more than 50 fans from their home city.

n The Players -- whose members include Paul Weller's backing musicians -- have postponed next Thursday's planned Keighley gig.

They expect to play the town later this year.
