Seriously-ill children with cancer were treated like pop stars for the day when a Bradford recording studio threw a VIP party.

Amy and Alex Eden, who run Factory Street Studios in Bierley, Bradford, were so moved after hearing about the Little Heroes Cancer Trust they got in touch with its director Colin Nesbitt to spread some festive joy.

About 20 families arrived at the studios today with the youngsters dressing up in wigs and spandex before taking part in a photo-shoot and having a go at recording songs themselves.

Telegraph & Argus readers are also helping out the charity by donating toys which will go to children’s hospital wards in time for Christmas Day.

The charity, a winner in the T&A’s Bradford’s Best Awards last month, is asking people to buy an extra present to go in the Little Heroes’ stocking and drop them off at T&A offices across the district. The gifts will be given to children at Bradford Royal Infirmary, Airedale Hospital and at St James’s Hospital, Leeds.

Gifts should be unused and suitable for boys and girls aged from birth to 15. They should be dropped off unwrapped by December 21 at the collection points.
