One hundred and fifty Alliance & Leicester banking jobs are being transferred from Leeds to Bradford by owner Santander, the Spanish bank that also owns Bradford & Bingley savings and branches.
The Communication Workers Union today welcomed the news which will see call centre workers coming to Bradford in February.
CWU has reached agreement with the bank over the transfer, bringing an end to the uncertainty over jobs. The deal preserves jobs and provides members with financial assistance for additional travel costs.
