Family and friends paid tribute to a Bradford teenager whose life was tragically cut short after a crash between a quad bike and a car.
Jake Leahy, 16, died early today at Bradford Royal Infirmary, from serious injuries suffered during the accident in Bierley on Monday.
Jake had been riding a quad bike with best friend Danny Moore, who remains in Leeds General Infirmary in a stable condition, when the accident occurred.
Distressed friends and family of the Tong High School pupil have continued to tie flowers and messages to a lamppost close to the site of the crash.
Paul McDonagh, a friend of Jake’s, said: “He was very friendly. He wouldn’t say anything bad to anyone. He loved his bikes.”
Kyle Hunt, 16, who had known Jake since nursery school, said: “He was a good lad, always up for a laugh. We used to go fishing together.”
