Welly-wearing youngsters did not let the wintry, rainy weather deter them from getting stuck in to brighten up their community.
A team of five and six-year-old Year One pupils at St Columba’s Catholic Primary School, in Tong Street, Bradford, were recruited to plant daffodil and crocus bulbs in the Knowles recreation ground neighbouring their school.
Bradford Council’s Streets Ahead officers asked pupils to get involved and gardeners accompanied children in their efforts.
Parents joined the group to show their support.
