A great great grandmother who lives at a Pudsey nursing home is now the oldest person in Europe.
Florrie Baldwin was born in Hunslet, Leeds, in 1896 and celebrated her 113th birthday on March 31 this year.
A spokesman at Radcliffe Gardens Nursing Home, where she has lived for the past nine years, confirmed she had become the oldest person in Europe following the death of a 113-year-old woman in Italy.
Mrs Baldwin, who lived independently until the age of 105, has one daughter, two grandchildren, six great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
She was officially recognised as the oldest woman in the UK in 2007 when she was presented with a certificate by officials from the Guinness Book of Records.
