Bradford Cancer Support’s first Christmas ball was a cracker of an event held at the Stansfield Arms in Apperley Bridge.
The black-tie event was attended by 150 guests who raised more than £10,000 for Bradford Cancer Support.
Hayley Collis, corporate fundraiser for the event, said: “This is a fantastic sum of money to raise during an economic downturn, and especially at this time of the year.”
The event comes ahead of the official opening of the charity’s home in the grounds of Bradford Royal Infirmary, in Smith Lane, which takes place tomorrow.
The independent charity raised £1.4million through its Daisy Appeal to make the new premises possible and continue to help those touched by cancer, their families and friends.
