Bradford brothers Michael and Edward Ziff have celebrated a milestone in business banking.

The businessmen recently exchanged gifts with Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets officials to mark a 90-year relationship between the bank and the family’s widespread business interests Michael Ziff is chairman and chief exeutive of Bradford-based shoe retailer Stylo plc, which began as a single shop in 1914 and now has more than 500 outlets through the Barratts and PriceLess chains.

Edward is chairman and chief executive of Leeds-based Town Centre Properties, whose interests include the Merrion Centre.

Sir Victor Blank, chairman of Lloyds TSB, presented them with two engraved crystals to celebrate the long relationship between the bank and the family.

Michael and Edward reciprocated the present by presenting a silver salver to the bank.

The Stylo shoe retail business has banked with Lloyds since it started trading.

It was originally three separate businesses and was consolidated in 1935 and floated on the stock market as Stylo Boot Company (Northern) Limited.

Town Centre Securities plc, which also banks with Lloyds TSB, has a substantial property investment portfolio of more than £474m, as well as a development and car park business.
