About 100 children at schools across the district took over a host of roles at Education Bradford’s headquarters today.
To mark the second annual 11 Million Takeover Day, they slipped into education hotseats and took over a host of roles including developing schools’ business and enterprise strategy, reviewing music service development and creating a presentation about “diversity and cohesion”.
Sam Preston, Education Bradford’s strategy manager and education participation champion, said: “We are committed to ensuring the children and young people of Bradford have the opportunity to influence and have a say on their own future.”
The original inspiration for the national event came from Al Aynsley-Green, the first Children’s Commissioner for England, who believed that children and young people should have a voice and it should be heard.
