Thornton Grammar School pupils took on the challenge of remaining silent during a cutting-edge dance workshop.
Students were selected to work with choreographer Jonathan Poole on a new professional dance piece, Even Silence Holds Breath.
Professional dancers will perform the routine at Dean Clough mill in Halifax on Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm.
Dee Grijak, Dean Clough spokesman, said: “Students have learnt how professional dancers build movement, based on the tension created between stillness and momentum and have devised their own movements.”
