The rain held off as the Lord Mayor’s Parade wound its way around Bradford city centre today.
Hundreds of people lined the route to watch the extravaganza of colour and music pass by.
More then 1,000 schoolchildren from the district took part in the parade, dressed in a variety of c`reative costumes.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Howard Middleton, said: “Everyone has got to be impressed by the amount of work that has gone into the costumes.
“Thankyou to everyone who has given so much time and effort to take part in this parade.
“Lots of people have come along, even though the weather forecast wasn’t brilliant.”
The parade started from Crown Court Plaza at 11am and then moved on to Bridge Street, up to Kirkgate and along Market Street before flooding into Centenary Square just after midday.
