A murder trial jury is expected to begin its deliberations tomorrow after the judge completes his summing up of the evidence in the case.

John Kinsella, 25, has denied being involved in the murder of 39-year-old Ross Keenan, who suffered multiple injuries when he was attacked in his home in Holme Top Lane, Little Horton, last December.

Kinsella’s 23-year-old brother, David, known as Micky, has already pleaded guilty to murdering Mr Keenan, who the prosecution say was attacked with various weapons, including a knife and a meat cleaver. The brothers lived on the same street as Mr Keenan and Bradford Crown Court heard during the trial how the deceased was in a relationship with their sister, Kelly.

Mr Keenan’s daughter, Tifani, was in a relationship with Micky Kinsella and it is said that the deceased was not thrilled about the news that she was pregnant.

The prosecution allege the brothers were jointly involved in the attack on Mr Keenan.

The jury heard closing speeches today.
