A leading children’s charity has recognized Bradford Ice Arena for its work keeping youngsters safe.

The arena is one of 50 venues nationwide now running the NSPCC’s Staying Safe Commitment Scheme, which recognises and supports organisations that actively protect children and young people from harm or abuse.

Angie Green, General Man-ager at Bradford Ice Arena, said: “Bradford Ice Arena is an organisation committed to putting the needs of children and young people first.

“One of the ways we reflect this is by ensuring that we aim to protect them by having an appropriate child protection policy and procedures in place, supported by training for our staff and information for children and young people so that they know who to turn to if they have concerns about their safety.

“I’m delighted that we have been acknowledged by the NSPCC for the work we undertake in protecting children and young people.  We are committed to keeping children safe while they enjoy ice skating.”

The NSPCC’s Staying Safe Commitment Scheme is open to voluntary and commercial organisations in England and Wales that provide activities or services for children and young people.
