A BUSY Bradford road has reopened after burst water main caused nearly a week of disruption.

The eastbound carriageway of Sticker Lane, outside Java Joe's coffee shop, was fully closed on Monday, November 2, as Yorkshire Water carried out repair work.

One lane of the eastbound carriageway following the burst water main, which left a large amount of standing water on the road last Saturday, October 31.

The repairs have now been completed by Yorkshire Water, and the road is now reopened.

A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “We recently completed a repair to a burst main on Sticker Lane, as well as reinstatement of the road.

"As such, we have now cleared the traffic management that was in place for the safety of our colleagues and road users.

“We understand the work has been disruptive and would like to thank everyone for their patience throughout."

The closure marks an escalation from the weekend, when one lane remained shut while crews worked to fix the damaged main.
