A YORKSHIRE naan has scooped a top prize.

Aagrah Foods’ Plain Naan has earned a two-star rating at the Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, marking it as "above and beyond delicious" by a panel of industry experts through a rigorous blind-tasting process.

This latest award means that every product it has entered into the Great Taste Awards has received at least one star.

Shakil Hussain, co-founder of Aagrah Foods, said: "We’re incredibly proud to see our Plain Naan awarded two Great Taste stars, and even prouder that every product we’ve entered now carries at least one star.

"To have our entire range recognised through blind judging is a fantastic endorsement of the quality and consistency behind Aagrah Foods.

"Naan has been part of our family’s food for generations, and we love seeing people enjoy it traditionally alongside a curry or get creative with toppings and sharing dishes."

Aagrah Foods, based in Yorkshire, is a family-run business known for delivering authentic, restaurant-quality Kashmiri flavours to homes across the UK.

Its Plain Naan is hand-pulled, hand-finished, and baked in a 400C oven to achieve its pillowy texture and signature charred spots.

To celebrate the win, Aagrah Foods shared a Sweet Chilli & Chutney Tear & Share Naan recipe using the award-winning product.

The recipe calls for one Aagrah Foods Plain Naan topped with poppadom chutney, mozzarella cheese, sliced pepper, red onion, and chilli.

It is grilled or baked at 200C until the cheese melts and turns golden.

The finished naan is then sliced and served hot as a tear-and-share dish.

The Great Taste Awards are among the world’s largest and most respected food and drink accreditation schemes, trusted by both consumers and retailers in the UK.

Furthermore, the black and gold Great Taste logo helps shoppers identify products that have been independently judged for quality and flavour.

Aagrah’s Plain Naan is priced at £3.25 and is available online HERE, with free UK mainland delivery on orders over £30.

Aagrah products are also stocked in Tesco, Ocado, Morrisons, farm shops, and selected independent retailers.

The two-star accolade cements Aagrah’s reputation for quality and consistency across its entire range.

Each product entered into the Great Taste Awards has now received at least one star, reflecting the brand’s dedication to authentic flavour and craftsmanship.
