A NEW community fund aims to support people with mobility challenges.
Launched by mobility aid manufacturer Sunrise Medical, the £5,000 scheme is designed to help individuals across Bradford and nationwide overcome financial and practical barriers to full community participation.
The fund will support projects and improvements that enhance accessibility in public spaces and enable people to engage in meaningful activities and experiences.
Lucy Evans, head of marketing at Sunrise Medical, said: "We’re always looking for new ways to support the incredible communities around us.
"We know that the right support can help remove barriers and create more opportunities for people to take part in the moments and experiences that matter the most to them.
"Sometimes it’s about accessing equipment or assistance that helps someone do something they’ve always wanted to do, while other times it’s about creating opportunities that build independence, confidence and enjoyment.
"We’re encouraging people to share their stories with us and tell us what experience, opportunity or support would make the biggest difference to them."
The fund is open now and will close at 11.59pm on September 30, 2026.
